DLTV Best Player Awards Of 2023, Position 3: Fifth Place

Exclusive
Author: Owen | Published at: 2024-01-12 22:24:00

Today, we’ll move on to the Off Lane position. In fifth place, we’d like to award former BetBoom Team player Pure, who is now playing for Tundra Esports in the Carry role. In 2023, Pure had to swap positions with Nightfall and play in the Off Lane. Despite the sudden role change, the 19-year-old adapted quickly and became one of the best position three players in the world.

As we have repeatedly noted, the results of the BetBoom Team in 2023 were subpar, to say the least. However, their achievements throughout last year weren’t that bad at all:

Ignoring the team’s overall performance, Pure shined individually, showing consistency throughout the season and boasting some fantastic numbers statistics-wise compared to other Off Laners:

  • Top 1 Average KDA: 4.75
  • Top 1 (Least) Average Deaths Per Game: 3.59
  • Top 1 Average GPM: 626.38

Though the statistics above don’t always define a good Off Lane player, it certainly gives a clear idea of how efficient Pure is with his fantastic game sense. Pure showed great play in almost all tournaments in which the BetBoom Team participated. His statistics are always comparable to other top core players in the Carry and Mid roles, such as Yatoro and Nightfall.

Unfortunately, Pure scarred his own reputation during the Bali Major, where he opened Nix’s livestream during a pause in the match against Tundra Esports, resulting in the BetBoom Team receiving a technical loss.

Regardless, we have to remember that Pure is just a kid. He is most likely learning from his mistakes and still has a long career ahead of him, but as of now, he has returned to the Carry position ahead of 2024.
