DreamLeague S21 Day 1: 9 Pandas Lead The Way, Gladiators Struggling?
The first day of DreamLeague Season 21 has ended, and a lot of Dota was played! If you couldn’t catch all the games, which is completely understandable, here’s a recap!
Group A
We’ve had some surprising results in Group A. Check out the standings.
9 Pandas are the only team in the tournament not to have lost a game, and they played against tough opponents in the likes of Team Liquid and Talon Esports. They sit at the top with a score of 4-0
Shopify Rebellion and Entity Gaming are tied for second and third place, only dropping one map to each other. Remember that ATF is standing in for Gabbi in Entity until further notice.
Tundra’s debut with Topson didn’t go too amazingly, as they sat with one series win and loss.
Meanwhile, the most surprising result is two top-three finishers in Riyadh, Talon Esports and Team Liquid, are both 0-4 after the first day.
Group B
Group B also stirred up interesting standings. Let’s check it out.
The two CIS giants, BetBoom Team and Team Spirit sit with a score of 3-1 after tying their series against each other. Shockingly, OG, fielding in MinD_ContRoL, is also tied for first place in the groups!
On the lower side, we have another three teams tied, but this time at one point. Evil Geniuses, Quest Esports, and the Gaimin Gladiators all have a score of 1-3. Quest is fielding in a stand-in, making their performance excusable, but EG and the Gladiators find themselves in deep trouble.
