Game is over: Team Secret underestimated OG and paid for it
It's only the first day of the DPC Europe Regional Leagues, and we already have a sensation. The new OG roster destroyed Team Secret with an absolute win. Before the start of the meeting, the odds of their victory were about 6.0-8.0.
We can describe the match in one phrase — total underestimation of the opponent. Team Secret didn't believe in OG on the first map so much that they took a support-Pudge, an offlane-Winter Wyvern, and a midlane-Grimstroke. Meanwhile, the OG's peak is fully compiled with the current meta.
The first map, although it lasted 45 minutes, was like a beating. Team Secret managed only 9 kills, with 38 deaths. All players except ??Nisha, whose stats were 1/4/5, completely failed the match.
Puppey didn't allow himself to take such a daring pick on the second map, but the OG's guys were in a rush and didn't give him a chance. Of particular note on the OG roster was the performance of midlaner ??Space, who finished the match with 28/0/22 stats, and offlaner ??ATF with 23/3/32 stat.
These 2 maps look like Team Secret was completely unprepared for the match against OG, from the strange choice of heroes to the poor playing form of the Esportsmen. At the same time, OG has shown that their experiment with a young roster could prove successful. It's only 1 match so far, but it's getting more interesting to follow further during the league.
