Luna Galaxy Upset Quest Esports And Are One Series Away From TI
Quest Esports was one of the primary candidates to qualify for The International, and they were given the easier side of the bracket, facing Team KZ and Luna Galaxy. Quest had a clear path to the Grand Final but it wasn’t meant to be.
As everyone expected, Quest Esports made quick work of Luna Galaxy in the first game, winning the game in 33 minutes.
However, Luna Galaxy struck back in the second game. Even though it took 78 minutes, Luna Galaxy had complete control over the entire game to make the series even.
The third game was a weird one, as it had one of the lowest kill-score games that went to 39 minutes. The lanes went swimmingly well for Luna Galaxy, as Shad’s Medusa had a completely free game. He was outfarming TA2000’s Sven by a margin, and after claiming the Aegis, Luna Galaxy could kill the enemy carry. Medusa became too much, and Quest Esports had to tap out.
Luna Galaxy is only one win away from making it to their first TI as a team and the first for most players. They have two chances, one in the Upper Bracket Final, and the next in the Lower Bracket Final. Meanwhile, Quest Esports still have a second chance in the Lower Bracket.
