Team Falcons Immediately Win Another Event Following Malr1ne’s Return
The best team of 2024 has re-assembled its complete roster to dominate all the competition. Team Falcons win yet another tournament after sweeping the Gaimin Gladiators in the DreamLeague Season 23 Grand Final.
The Falcons did not have their usual Upper Bracket cruise to win a tournament, as they were knocked down to the Lower Bracket by the Gaimin Gladiators. As a result, they had to play against the BetBoom Team in the first series of the final day, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the MENA-backed organization.
With each member playing dozens of pubs daily, Team Falcons did not suffer from any exhaustion after the Lower Bracket series and quickly got the job done against the Gaimin Gladiators. It was an incredibly one-sided series.
After taking a nice break by missing PGL Wallachia Season 1, Malr1ne immediately returned to work and went 9/1/12, 20/3/15, and 17/1/13 throughout the three maps. The star mid-player totaled an impressive combined KDA of 46/5/40 in the final series.
In a post-game interview, Malr1ne revealed that he didn’t even spend too much time reading the patch notes but was saddened that his favorite Huskar was nerfed to the ground. However, the remainder of his hero pool remained “playable,” which surprised him.
Still, it was a breath of fresh air as the Gladiators managed to make their first Grand Final appearance in 2024. The Western European squad made it to almost every Grand Final last year and had not made a top-two appearance since ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where they were defeated by Azure Ray.
Meanwhile, the Falcons were rewarded with $300,000 in pocket money and 6,000 EPT points; not like it mattered anymore for them.
