Whitemon Wins First Professional Ringmaster Game - PGL Wallachia Day 1 Recap
PGL Wallachia Season 3 is underway, with almost all matches of Day 1 ending with a 2 - 0 result. However, there were a few interesting takeaways.
After recently being added into Captain’s Mode, we finally got to see a Tier 1 team pick up Ringmaster. Whitemon used him in his match against AVULUS and won the game in 27 minutes after going 4/3/22.
Aurora’s new Dota 2 roster surprisingly dropped their first map against Wildcard Gaming, losing in 22 minutes. However, the new squad was able to bounce back and pull off the reverse sweep with back-to-back 33-minute wins to win the series.
Xtreme Gaming succeeded its roster debut, winning 2 - 0 against Mosquito Clan. XinQ ran position four Faceless Void in the second game, buying Drum of Endurance and Gleipnir.
The two MENA representatives, Team Falcons and Nigma Galaxy, duked it out with the former taking the series 2 - 0. In both games, Cr1t- played position four Night Stalker. Nigma Galaxy seemed like they had a great chance to win the second map with SumaiL’s 23/4/14 performance on Outworld Devourer, but it wasn't enough as Team Falcons pulled off the comeback to seal the series.
To end the day, Team Spirit demolished OG, limiting the Western European squad to 10 total kills throughout the series. The DreamLeague Season 25 winners won in 27 and 22 minutes.
PGL Wallachia Season 3 is a $1,000,000 tournament held in Romania, Bucharest. The event will be played in a LAN format without a crowd. We’ll see Dota 2 action from March 8 to 16.
