Professional teams rankings: January 30
Almost all regions have completed the Upper Divisions of the DPC Winter Regional Leagues. That means we have a lot of changes in the professional team rankings. The update is already on the website, so let's see who made it to the top!
In China and Western Europe, the matches haven't ended yet. In the first region, the competition was postponed because of the Chinese New Year celebration, and in the second, OG, Tundra, and Entity are in long tie-breaks for 3-5 places. But even so, the first two lines in the updated rankings are taken by teams from the WEU region: Tundra and Team Liquid. The first team has a good advantage after winning The International 11, and the second has a perfect series of 7 wins in a row.
The teams from South America are surprising. Two representatives of this region, beastcoast and Evil Geniuses, are at the Top-6 of the rankings. The teams were the leaders in their league and received invitations to The Lima Major 2023.
Execration of Southeast Asia moved up into the Top-10, placing on the 8th line. Last year, the team won the BTS Pro Series: SEA Season 13, where it earned many points, and now it followed that up with a regular season DPC: SEA win.
Also, we want to note the performance of BetBoom Team. Even though the team didn't make the Top-10, they won the EEU Regional League and placed 13th in the rankings. The small number of points (198) is because the roster was only formed at the end of December and has a small number of official matches on the account.
More changes await us next week, as we'll find out the result of the tie-breaks in Western Europe and the result of the Regional League in China. On top of that, don't forget that the DPC Lower Division games have begun. Follow them on our website.
